Outdoor Advertising
Planned, Booked and Placed
We plan and buy outdoor advertising across the UK, from roadside billboards and digital screens to buses, vans, fuel pumps and cinema. Sites are chosen around where your audience lives, travels and shops, and the artwork is produced to each media owner’s specification.
Tell us where you want to be seen and a member of our media team will get back to you with options and costs.
Advertising People See on the Move
Outdoor advertising, often called out-of-home or OOH, covers any advert placed in a public space. That includes billboards beside major roads, digital screens in shopping centres and stations, adverts on the sides of buses and vans, posters at fuel pumps and the advert slots that run before a film at the cinema.
Because these formats sit in the places people pass every day, a campaign can build familiarity through repetition over several weeks. The skill lies in choosing locations that match the audience, booking them at the right time and making sure the creative can be understood in the few seconds a passer-by has to take it in.

Why Outdoor Advertising Still Works
Outdoor advertising reaches people outside the home, at moments when they are driving, commuting, shopping or running errands. Unlike online formats, it cannot be skipped, blocked or scrolled past, and a well-placed site is seen by the same people repeatedly over the course of a campaign.
It also works well alongside other media. A billboard or bus campaign can make a brand familiar before someone hears a radio advert or sees a social post, and digital screens allow messages to change by time of day. For businesses that want to be noticed in a particular town, region or across the country, outdoor gives a physical presence that other channels cannot replicate.
How Can Our Outdoor Advertising Services Help?
Our outdoor advertising services can help you:
- Put your brand in front of people in the areas you want to reach
- Choose formats that suit your message, audience and budget
- Build awareness through repeated exposure over several weeks
- Combine static and digital sites in a single campaign
- Change digital messages by time of day or location
- Support radio, TV and digital campaigns with a physical presence
- Keep artwork, bookings and deadlines managed in one place
Campaigns can run on a single format in one area or across several formats nationally, and we will recommend a mix that matches what you want the campaign to achieve.

Billboard Advertising
Billboards remain one of the most visible ways to advertise, particularly beside busy roads and junctions where traffic slows down. Large poster sites give a brand scale and presence, and a single strong image with a short message can be recognised from a distance.
We look at traffic routes, the direction of travel and what is around each site before recommending it. Static billboards are printed and posted for the length of the booking, while digital billboards display your advert in rotation with others and can be updated without reprinting.
Digital Screen Advertising
Digital screens in shopping centres, stations, high streets and roadside locations can show moving images, animation and video as well as still artwork. They are bright, high resolution and easy to update, which makes them well suited to time-sensitive offers and campaigns that need more than one message.
Digital formats can also be scheduled by day part, so a business can show one advert during the morning commute and another in the evening. We plan the screens, the share of time and the schedule, then supply the files in the formats each network requires.
Van and Mobile Advertising
Advertising vans carry large, illuminated or printed panels around a planned route, taking a message to the streets, events and areas where your audience spends time. Unlike a fixed site, a van can be directed to particular towns, retail parks or venues on specific days.
We plan the routes and timings around the campaign, design the visuals for the panels and coordinate the booking. Mobile advertising works particularly well for launches, openings, events and short campaigns where a business wants to be seen in several places within a few days.
Bus and Bus Stop Advertising
Bus advertising places your message on the sides and backs of buses, where it travels through town centres and residential areas throughout the day. Bus stop panels sit at eye level beside the pavement, reaching both people waiting for a bus and those walking or driving past.
We select the routes and shelter locations that cover the areas you want to reach. Because buses follow regular routes, the same people tend to see the advert several times over the campaign, which helps the brand and the message stick.
Fuel Pump Advertising
Fuel pump advertising reaches drivers while they fill up, a moment when they are standing still and looking at the pump for a minute or more. Adverts can appear on the nozzle, the pump itself or screens on the forecourt, depending on the site.
This format suits brands that want to reach motorists, including car dealers, garages, insurers and local businesses near the forecourt. We identify suitable petrol stations, book the space and produce artwork sized for the small panels and the short reading distance.
Cinema Advertising
Cinema advertising runs on the big screen before the main feature, when the audience is seated, attentive and unlikely to be looking at a phone. The sound and picture quality give an advert more impact than most other screens, and audiences can be reached by venue, film or time of day.
Cinema campaigns can be booked nationally or in specific locations, which makes them more accessible than many businesses expect. We plan the screens and the films, and our production team can create or adapt video adverts to the technical requirements of cinema.
Outdoor Advertising and Design Working Together
Outdoor creative needs to work in conditions that other media do not face. A driver may have two or three seconds to read a billboard, and a bus panel has to make sense while it is moving. That means fewer words, larger type and a single clear idea.
Because CMe Media also has an in-house design and production team, the artwork is created by people who know the sizes, viewing distances and deadlines for every site in the plan. The same campaign idea can then be adapted for radio, press, digital and social, so the message stays consistent wherever people come across it.

Why Choose CMe Media for Outdoor Advertising?
CMe Media has been planning, producing and buying advertising for businesses since 2014. We are a family-run agency working with clients of every size across the UK.
Our team plans and books outdoor campaigns and produces the artwork in-house, so one team takes responsibility for the sites, the creative and the deadlines. That means fewer handovers between suppliers and fewer surprises when a campaign is about to go live.
We take the time to understand who you want to reach and where they spend their time, then recommend the formats that make sense for the campaign rather than the ones that are easiest to sell.

Frequently Asked Questions About Outdoor Advertising
What is outdoor advertising?
Outdoor advertising, also known as out-of-home or OOH, is any advertising that people see outside their homes. It includes billboards, digital screens, bus and bus stop adverts, van advertising, fuel pump adverts and cinema advertising.
How much does a billboard campaign cost?
The cost of a billboard campaign depends on the size and location of the sites, how many are booked and how long the campaign runs. We put together a plan around your budget and show you the options before anything is booked.
How long does an outdoor campaign usually run?
Most outdoor sites are booked in blocks of one or two weeks, and many campaigns run for several weeks to build familiarity. Digital screens can offer more flexibility on dates and timings.
Can you design the artwork for our campaign?
Artwork can be designed by our in-house team for every format in the plan, sized and supplied to each media owner’s specification. We can also use artwork you already have and adapt it where needed.
Can outdoor advertising target a specific area?
Outdoor campaigns can be planned around particular towns, regions, roads or routes. Sites are selected according to where your audience lives, works and travels, so a campaign can be local or national.
What is the difference between static and digital billboards?
A static billboard displays a printed poster for the full length of the booking, while a digital billboard shows your advert in rotation with others on a screen. Digital sites can be updated quickly and scheduled by time of day.
