At CMe Media, we believe in the power of community, connection, and giving back. On the 25th of July, we had the pleasure of organising a Charity Quiz Night for Cash for Kids – we raised over £800 from tickets and the raffle! Read below to find out what we got up to:
Charity Quiz Night
Our Charity Quiz Night took place at Lee-On-The-Solent Tennis Club, the perfect venue for bringing together colleagues, friends, family, and the local community. The atmosphere was electric with excitement and anticipation as teams gathered, ready to put their trivia knowledge to the test. The venue was adorned with colourful decorations, and the buzz of conversation and laughter filled the air, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening. A grazing board of delicious food was included, adding to the enjoyment too.
While the primary aim of the night was to have fun, the heart of the event lay in its charitable purpose. All proceeds from the ticket sales, raffles, and donations went to Cash for Kids, a charity close to our hearts. This charity supports underprivileged children, providing them with educational resources and opportunities to enhance their learning and development.
Throughout the night, we were reminded of the importance of giving back. Our host shared heartfelt stories about the impact of the charity’s work, and a representative from the organization gave a brief talk, expressing their gratitude and highlighting how the funds raised would make a difference.
What Happened?
Our host – Jimmy, our Sales and Innovation Director, took the microphone and welcomed everyone to the event. The rules were explained, and the first round of questions kicked off. The quiz comprised several rounds, each with a different theme ranging from general knowledge and pop culture to sports and history. Our quizmaster kept the energy high with witty banter and encouraging words, ensuring everyone was engaged and having a great time.
One of the standout moments of the evening was the “Picture Round,” where teams had to identify famous faces and landmarks. This round sparked animated discussions and plenty of laughter, especially when unexpected guesses were made. Another highlight was the “Music Round,” where snippets of songs were played, and teams had to name the artist and title.
The Raffle
In addition to the quiz, we held a raffle featuring various fantastic prizes. Participants bought tickets, hoping to win one of the coveted prizes. The raffle included prizes like:
- Mermaid Gin: A premium gin that delighted the winners with its unique, smooth taste and beautifully designed bottle.
- Spa Day: A luxurious spa day package that promises relaxation and rejuvenation, a perfect treat for anyone needing a break from their busy lives.
- Tennis Lessons: A set of professional tennis lessons, ideal for both beginners looking to learn the basics or advanced players wanting to refine their skills.
The raffle drew a lot of attention, and the winners were thrilled with their prizes, adding to the overall enjoyment of the night.
